The cold bleak wind stabs at my skin
As memories tug at my soul
And with my heart now full of sin,
My mind of only death is full
The distance to eternity
Is bridged in a few small seconds
But so sweet is mortality
Our lives so full of decadence
Yet Death comes not for life but love
Whose debt was overdue so long
With last breath sent to skies above
For now is dead love’s only song
Now silence is the worst of all
When between two hearts but exist
Nothing more than a friendship’s fall
As Love’s last song is scarcely missed
